I started to create this card at the beginning of the week. I had seen the challenge for this week over at Cards4guyz and, as I already had a suitable image in my stash of printed images it seemed meant to be. I have a whole set of superhero bears from Doodle Dragon Studios (I'm sorry but I can't supply the link as Dustin's site appears to be down). I also had a really cool Bat Mobile from Craftin Desert Divas which I'd bought ages ago but hadn't come up with a project for. I started colouring the images in between painting the bathroom (still a work in progress as I managed to get blisters from my paintbrush!). The blisters are the reason that I've taken until now to finish the card. That and all that black colouring was sending my eyes scatty. Whoever doubts my commitment to my work should check out my hands and my three sets of eye drops. Anyway, here is the finished project.
For all my moaning I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I hope you like it too.

Go on, you know you like a challenge
I have several friends who like what I make and are in the habit of asking me to create special cards for them to give to others. It's a lovely compliment to know that they trust you to create cards for them. I've been doing this for several years and my techniques have changed and I like to think I've got better at it. So much so that a couple of my friends have taken to asking for - let's call them 'Challenging' cards. I can guarantee that some of the things they come up with are definitely not available on the high street.
So, Ang's mum has a birthday coming up. She often asks me for cards so it was nice when Ang asked me if I could create a card for her to give to her mum. 'She's into Highland Cows' she said. OK...Highland Cows...Right! Leave it with me I'll see what I can do (silently screaming and asking myself why I set myself up for these things). Anyway, it turns out it was a lot easier than I thought. What do you think.

She's called Morag (the cow - not Ang's mother) and she's available from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. She turned out way better than I expected and I had such fun colouring her I did another one straight after. She's coloured up with my favourite set of brown Tria markers. I usually use them for hair but they worked even better here. I popped her onto a plaid background so I could enter her into this week's Passion for Promarkers Challenge - use ginghams or plaids.
I can honestly say I would never have attempted to colour something like this without being asked. I suppose I should be grateful to my friends for helping me to develop my skills. I just hope she likes it as much as I do.

In the Pink
Morning all.
I've booked this week off work to use up the last of my annual leave. I have made a rather rash statement about decorating the bathroom (I know, I don't know what came over me). This morning, however, I chose to be creative instead of rushing out for DIY supplies. I decided to enter a challenge for inspiration and the first one that came up on my Bloglovin feed was the Bugaboo Stella says sketch challenge. I had a root through the many Bugaboo stamps that I have printed out and came up with this card.

She's incredibly pink and very girly and I even braved giving her a bit of sparkle on the bodice with a gel pen (blame Alyce from Kit and Clowder).
Here's the original sketch
The image that I had printed was so large that I didn't add the panel. I made the panel the image itself. I'm pleased with it. I hope you like it too.

Lucking Good
Well, I seem to be on a roll. Two posts in two days no less!
I have a whole stack of images printed out and ready to colour, as every time I print one I need I fill the page up so as not to waste card. This morning I pulled the top one off the pile and decided it would be perfect for CAS-ually Fridays going green challenge. The image is from 2 Cute Ink (I would post the link but Heidi is taking a break at the moment and her Etsy shop is empty). I think he is super cute. I hope you like him too.
By the way, happy St. Patrick's Day. My own particular Patrick was born on St. Joseph's Day (the 19th of March). He was very late and I was panicking. I think I would have had to change his name if he'd been born on the 17th.

Kokeshi Cuties
I seem to be totally obsessed with The Digistamp Boutique at the moment. My last couple of blog posts used their images and I did promise that I would add some more cards using the Kokeshi Dolls. I have made cards with all the images in this set but used two of them before I remembered to take photographs. The Digistamp Boutique have just moved their monthly competition to Facebook and I'm going to enter these two cards there. I had so much fun colouring these images and not so much fun updating my tassle making skills (those suckers are really fiddly).
I hope you like the results.

Squwiffy Celebrations
Morning all. I've snook in a days flexi leave from work so I'm closeted away in the craft room. It could do with a good tidy up but the mojo is flowing so that's not going to happen. The other week I was tempted by Digistamp Boutique into buying their new Kokeshi Dolls (which I am obsessed with and will post at a later date). Whilst I was in the shop one or two other items inadvertently dropped into my cart - as they do! This morning I coloured one in whilst waiting for the bath to run and made a really quick and simple card for the Less is More Monochrome Challenge. It looked almost too simple as I was deciding what to do with it so I turned my square die cut around and made it squwiffy. I'm so pleased with the result. I hope you like it too.
