Last year I was lucky enough to become friends with Janis Lewis from Pause Dream Enjoy. I started out on the same design team, followed her blog and then contacted her through Facebook. It seems we have so much in common. We both love crafting. We each have a strong faith in God and we also love a good book. Last month Janis suggested maybe joining in with some friends and running a book club. Today, instead, she introduced me to the concept of the A-Z Reading Challenge. She's doing it and so am I. I know this is different from my usual crafting blog stuff but I thought that, in doing this, I may be able to introduce some of you to a few good reads. I may also be able to pick up a few titles from other people.
I do love to read. I like the idea of going to charity shops for books because you can't go in with an idea of what you want and sometimes you come out with something you would never have chosen in a book shop. I also get a lot of suggestions from my mother in law and one or two friends. For example, I would never have discovered Inspector Brunetti had it not been for Jane (my mother in law) and she is fully responsible for drip feeding me with volumes. However, for the sake of diversity, I have promised myself I can only add him once to the list.
Here goes. I will add to the list as the year progresses. Feel free to join in the fun and, if you do, send me a link to your blog and I can check out what you are reading.
Apparently the letters Q, X and Z are free passes and can be substituted for other letters. We'll see.

LOVE!!!!! I need to rearrange my author list and put the author first like you did. Great idea! I made a logo for the challenge if you want to use it on your blog. AND, I'm going to start a Facebook group. Not sure if anyone will want to join, so we will see how long that lasts, but I love getting ideas for my next book from others who just read something they loved. Big hugs to you! Love you! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteOo this looks fun! I'm going to see what I can do with the books I've read so far this year! Jenny xx
