Merry Monochrome

Morning all.  It's the first of July so it's Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  Get your Christmas in July cards started as you mean to go on.  We are wanting 'Monochrome Christmas' projects please.

I'm really struggling with my camera at the moment.  The white panel is debossed with a Christmas tree embossing folder.  I've decorated it with gold gems and matched it with a gold patterned paper.

Jingle all the way

Me again. 1st of the month means a new theme over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge. Our new theme is 'Jingle Bells'.  We would like to see bells on your projects please.

As well as the clipart I've been purchasing from Dotwit on Etsy she also has fussy cuts.  The images have a line outside to guide your scissors.  I used this wreath, which I printed twice and decoupaged.  I am finding these images really easy to make cards I'm happy with.

2 for 1

Afternoon all.  As it's Friday and also the 1st May you get two blog cards for the price of one.  Firstly,  over at The Alphabet Challenge we start another turn around the letters with 'A for Air'. Basically, if it's airborne it works.  Being a bit poorly earlier this week I've gone simple with this butterfly card.

Next up, for the first of the month, we are looking for 'Gifts' over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  I still have loads of these toppers so it was an easy one to make.

Please join in the fun on one or both blogs.  You get a whole month for Sparkles Christmas challenge.

Driving Gnome for Christmas

Morning all.  It's Easter this weekend so it must be time to start your Christmas cards. We can help by providing inspiration over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  We would like elves or gnomes on your projects please.  Mine own gnome is ready to give Santa a hand dishing out the presents.

Please pop over and show us your elves and gnomes.

Frosty the snowman

Morning all.  Another late post from me.  I've been down with a migraine so here's yesterday's post.  We are looking for 'Snowmen/women' on your cards over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge. They can be on there own or in a family group.  I dug out some old Hunkydory stuff for my card.

The image is so large it didn't leave room for much more.  I just added some holly in the corners and called it done.

Oh Baubles!

I have a friend who, when frustrated, says 'Oh Baubles' instead of swearing.  She's the inspiration for my choice of theme for this month's Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  Somewhere on you project I would love to see some baubles please.

I need to add a greeting  but my desk is a mess and I couldn't find my Christmas dies before I took a picture.

Please pop over and join in the fun.

Getting ready for Christmas

Happy New Year to you all.  I hope 2025 was happy and healthy for you and I hope 2026 will be more so.  So, for the first challenge of the new year we start with next years Christmas Cards. Over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge we have 'Animal and Tree' as a theme for you this month.  I dug out some old favourite dies for this one.

I'm not making any resolutions but I do hope to use up some of my scraps this year.  I'm please that this one has been made purely from my scrap drawer. I dobbed some texture paste on the trees to make it look like snow and my stag must have been sniffing as he's got some on his nose.

Please pop over and join in the fun.

Christmas trees and flowers

Sorry this is late.  I came back from my hols with mum and promptly went down with the lurgy.  I had cards done but never got near the computer to be able to post my blog posts.  Firstly, we are looking for 'Christmas Trees' over at Make My Monday  I chose a lovely tree image I'd had from Etsy and used some backing paper covered in foil trees for my card.

I added extra sparkle and shine using red foiled card and gold glitter card.

Next, over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge we are looking for 'Poinsettias' please.  I used a couple of sheets from an old Hunkydory pad and decoupaged my poinsettias.  I'm quite pleased with the results.

I was a bit dubious about how this one would look but I'm really chuffed.  I, again, added extra sparkly using gold glitter card.  The tiny bits out of the die cut frame I reused in the flower centres.

Please pop over to the blogs and join in the fun.

Feeling Blue

Good morning all.  I don't know where the year is going.  October already!  First of the month means a new theme over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  The new theme is 'Non Traditional Christmas Colours'.  I found a die cut gnome in my little box that I put together last year and didn't use.  This played a big part in the decision to go with a Blue Christmas.

I found a couple of blue snowflake scraps in my folder.  The bottom one matches my Gnome as I cut it out of this sheet last year.  I felt that it needed a touch of white as the top paper had white snowflakes. The one good thing about decorating your craft space is that you find stuff you haven't used in ages.  I've had that fancy edge for years but it doesn't get an outing much.

Please pop over and join in the fun.

Jolly, Holly Christmas

Morning all.  We have a lovely new theme for you over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge. We would love to see some 'Holly' on your projects please.  I'm trying so hard to get rid of some of my old stash so, for this one, I dug out an old Dufex decoupage sheet.  I find the old decoupage images hard to make look right on a card.  I think they often look stuck on as an after though.  However, I'm pleased with this one.

I've taken the photo flat but it's one of those that have the bottom half standing proud when it stands up.

Please pop over and join in the fun.

One, Two, Tree

Hello all. 1st of the month brings a brand new theme over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  We are looking for a Tree on your projects please.  Me - I've gone for three.

I've had these puffy stickers for the longest time so this seemed the perfect card to use them for.

Please pop over and join the fun.

Just add sparkle

Morning all.  First of the month means a brand new Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  And that's pretty much it.  We want 'Sparkle' on you Christmas Projects.  I found a topper with a little glitter added and some gorgeous sparkly snowflakes but it's so hard to photograph.  You have to believe me, it's so sparkly in real life.

I distressed the edges of my papers and used silver card for my greeting and behind the image.

Please pop over and say hi.

Afternoon all.  The months are rolling around quickly this year.  1st of the month means that the new Sparkles Christmas Challenge is up.  This month we want to see 'Merry' on your projects.

I used some pretty velum and just added the sentiment and a couple of snowflakes.

Stockings! In this weather?

Hello all.  It's the first of the month and it's really hot here already.  However, as it's the first of the month, it's the Sparkles Christmas Challenge. We are looking for projects involving Christmas Stockings please.

I'm loving trying out fun folds at the moment and this one is becoming a new favourite.  I used an old decoupage sheet and some even older papers.  I am really trying hard to reduce my stash.

Christmas Critters

Hello all.  We are in March already!  As it's the first of the month we have a lovely new theme at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  Let's see your 'Christmas Critters' please.

These cute little deer are from a decoupage sheet I had but, me being awkward, I decided to use them for this instead.

A cup of Christmas Cheer

Hello all. Our monthly Christmas challenge is up at Sparkles Christmas and we have the fun theme of 'A cup of Christmas Tea.  I only had one idea for this one.  It had to be this cute little image from Mo's Digital Pencil

Adorable or what.  I'm more of an Earl Grey girl than peppermint tea but he's obviously very cosy.

Please pop over and join in the fun.

Warm and Cosy

Afternoon all and a Happy New Year.  Starting the new year with a 'warm and cosy' theme over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  It's been lovely and cosy on the boat this Christmas and Santa did manage to get down our little chimney (the trick is to leave the stove door open so he can get out).  Here's a little Tatty Ted by a much wider fire place waiting for Santa.

Take the opportunity to join in and get ahead for next years Christmas cards.

...And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Morning all.  Can you believe it's December already! As it's the first of the month we have a brand new Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  We would like to see 'Christmas Songs or Carols' on your projects.  I'm hoping my card will speak for itself.

The image is a very old one from The Lovely Studio (no longer trading).  It came together really quickly and I'm loving the CAS feel of it.  Please pop over and join in the fun.

Two challenges

Morning all.  I have two challenge cards for you today.  Firstly, The Alphabet Challenge are looking for 'Quick and Simple' projects.  I always think it's best to stay simple for Thinking of You cards.  This one would be suitable for a male (which I think is challenging for this type of card).

My second card is for my new theme of 'Christmas Florals' over at Sparkles Monthly Challenge.  I have a quick and easy decoupage pad and chose this cute house with Poinsettias on it.  I added a few extra bits of holly and a few flowers from a sticker sheet I've had for ages.

Sorry it's late

Only two days late!  I'm having one of those weeks.  We are moving marina next week and things are a bit busy in preparation. As a consequence I am posting both friday cards today.  Better late than never.

Firstly, The Alphabet Challenge are up to P for Party.

The image is an old one from LOTV.

My other card is for Sparkles Christmas Challenge where we are looking for 'snowflakes' on your projects please.  I created a wreath with my snowflakes but it's gone a bit squiffy at the bottom.

I think I needed to pencil in a circle for guidance. Oh well, I'm obviously still learning.

Please pop over to both blogs as we love to see your creations.

Thanks for reading.
