Lucking Good

Well, I seem to be on a roll.  Two posts in two days no less!

I have a whole stack of images printed out and ready to colour, as every time I print one I need I fill the page up so as not to waste card.  This morning I pulled the top one off the pile and decided it would be perfect for CAS-ually Fridays going green challenge.  The image is from 2 Cute Ink (I would post the link but Heidi is taking a break at the moment and her Etsy shop is empty).  I think he is super cute.  I hope you like him too.

By the way, happy St. Patrick's Day.  My own particular Patrick was born on St. Joseph's Day (the 19th of March).  He was very late and I was panicking.  I think I would have had to change his name if he'd been born on the 17th.

Kokeshi Cuties

I seem to be totally obsessed with The Digistamp Boutique at the moment.  My last couple of blog posts used their images and I did promise that I would add some more cards using the Kokeshi Dolls.  I have made cards with all the images in this set but used two of them before I remembered to take photographs.  The Digistamp Boutique have just moved their monthly competition to Facebook and I'm going to enter these two cards there. I had so much fun colouring these images and not so much fun updating my tassle making skills (those suckers are really fiddly).

I hope you like the results.

Squwiffy Celebrations

Morning all.  I've snook in a days flexi leave from work so I'm closeted away in the craft room.  It could do with a good tidy up but the mojo is flowing so that's not going to happen.  The other week I was tempted by Digistamp Boutique into buying their new Kokeshi Dolls (which I am obsessed with and will post at a later date).  Whilst I was in the shop one or two other items inadvertently dropped into my cart - as they do!  This morning I coloured one in whilst waiting for the bath to run and made a really quick and simple card for the Less is More Monochrome Challenge.  It looked almost too simple as I was deciding what to do with it so I turned my square die cut around and made it squwiffy.  I'm so pleased with the result.  I hope you like it too.

Can't Sleep - let's blog!

So, it's 4:30 in the morning and you are wide awake.  What are you going to do?  I know, I'll go and enter a blog challenge.  What I should have done was turn over and ignored the urge to get up.  You just know I am going to regret this around mid afternoon.

Anyway, I'm up now and I've picked this week's challenge at The Male Room.  I've been watching odd bits of the winter Olympics but I'm not really a winter sports girl - although I've sat through some freezing cold cricket matches in my time.  I've gone for a more mainstream sport, something my son and husband enjoy rather than me.  You can't really call me a football fan - I support Derby County like my dad does.  Here's my card.  I hope you like it.

Very Girly

This week's challenge at Sweet Stampin is to make a it 'Girly' so I couldn't resist.  I have a whole memory stick full of digis that would fit the bill - not to mention my other stamps.  So, what to choose?  In the end I figured that you can't really get more girly that Wryn at Tiddlyinks and last year I splashed out on a one of the colouring book downloads.  They are really fun to colour and brilliant value for money.  This one came from the Everyday Fun download.  It is so girly it had to be done.

I hope you like it.

I've been so Lucky

Well, I say it every time but I really must get better at this blogging lark.  I make so many cards but I'm terrible at photographing them.  Anyway, I couldn't resist blogging this one as I was so lucky as to win all the images in Sassy Cheryls January release on her facebook page.  I'm not sure where I was going with the colours on this card.  I chose the papers first, which is odd for me and yellow is not a 'go to' colour.  However, once I'd picked them I stuck with them and coloured the image...with very little yellow on it!  Anyhow, once I'd finished it I really loved how it turned out.  I added a few dot thingies and found a butterfly with dangly beads and flowers in the right greeny colour.  The butterfly was way too big so I pinched it's dangly bits and added them to the card.  I hope you like it.

I would like to enter this card into Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge, seeing as the papers came first.

Remember Me?

I know I have been missing again for absolutely ages.  I'm such a bad blogger.  My excuse is the cricket season I'm afraid.  I've only just found time this morning as I'm on cricket tea duty this afternoon.  Anyway, even if I haven't been uploading I have found the odd moment to create.  I have a stack of images I've coloured in my lunch break and this is one I found time to make into a card.  This is probably the first card I've uploaded just for fun - not for a challenge - since I started this blog.  I hope you like it.

It's a bit wonky but my photography skills have never been up to much.  The image is from 2 Cute Ink and the papers are just a cheap set I think I got from one of the pound shops in town.

Junior cricket training has now finished for the season so I am hoping to be more active on the blog front, although I'm not making any promises I won't keep.
