The wrong sort of bowling

Morning all.  We are looking for your 'sports and hobbies' on this week's Cardz4guyz projects.

I'm on a mission to organise my craft room at the moment (yes, I know. Again!) I've put all my little toppers and ephemera in a drawer together and I found this guy in amongst some stuff I've had printed for ages.

I had a whole set of these sporting characters from Crafts u Print.  It's about time he got used.  I've got a matching lady too. I just popped him onto one of my pre-made card fronts and he was done.

I was on my way to a junior cricket match one evening and had to pass the local bowling green.  I was approached by a gentleman who asked me if I was interested in bowling.  I had to tell him I only bowled overarm as I made my way to the cricket pitch next door.  I'm not sure if he was relieved or disappointed!

OK, let's see what the guyz in your life get up to in their spare time.

Thanks for reading.

Bamboo for you

Over at Cardz4guyz today we are looking for 'stencilling' on your projects please.  I love the stencils from Funky Fossil and was so happy to be able to use one on my card for this challenge.  I stencilled a whole field of Bamboo for this one but, in the end, die cut a piece and paired it with some oriental script paper.

I printed out and cut the topper (available from Crafts u Print) absolutely ages ago. It's been sitting in a box waiting for inspiration.
I'm sure you've all got tonnes of stencils that need an airing.  Please  pop over and join in the fun.

Thanks for reading.

Outdoor Sports! But it's Cold Outside

Morning all.  We have a new challenge for you today over at Make My Monday.  'Outdoor Sports' is the theme.  If you've read my blog before you will know that the Outdoor Sport I indulge in is Cricket.  However, as it's autumn and not cricket season in this hemisphere, I have gone for a Rugby theme.

My son did toy with Rugby for a while as a child.  I well remember why I'm a summer sport girl.  Standing on a windy moor with the sleet coming sideways at you and no shelter anywhere.  The rugby mum with a flask full of 'laced' coffee was very popular that morning if I remember rightly.  No, summer sports are definitely my thing - although I've frozen at a few early spring cricket matches in my time too.  I've had the download of sporting chaps for ages.  It came from Crafts-u-print.  The artist is Gordon Fraser.  He has some really fun sporting designs. It's about time I dusted off some of these old bits and got them used up.

Please pop over and join in the sporting fun.  No freezing needed but you can lace your coffee if you like.

Wishing you all a Blessed Easter

Morning all.  We have a very seasonal Challenge for you over at Make My Monday.  We would like to see your 'Easter or Spring' projects please.  Easter has sort of surprised me this year.  Still being in lockdown means I have to book a place at Church on Sunday so I've only been going occasionally to give everyone a chance at the limited spaces.  Watching on-line isn't the same as being there and, as we have no hymns, it doesn't seem seasonal.  Oh well, I can still create an Easter card or two.

I was digging around in my digi stamp folders for an Easter image and I found this one from Crafts-u-Print.  I can't even remember buying it so I've no hope of finding it again to link it.  Sorry.  I did enjoy colouring it though.  You can't really tell from the photo but the rays of sunshine are all sparkly from a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I mounted it on some Easter backing paper with a twist of ribbon behind.

Whether you celebrate Easter or just want to create a spring themed card I hope you have a blessed week and I look forward to your creations.

Thanks for reading.

For a Guy

I should have this week's Make My Monday Challenge down pat.  After all, Cardz4guyz was my first design team spot. Plus I needed a male tennis card for a 16th birthday.  Simples.  I didn't even have to think about it.  I could kill two birds with one stone.  A Guy card - for the challenge - plus I'd get the 16th card out of the way.  Yeah, right.  Do you know how many male tennis digis there are available?  Needless to say, searching for the image became the most trying part of this make.  Female tennis players there are a plenty.  Male ones, hardly any.  In the end I found this fabulous image on Craftsuprint.  It's designed by Gordon Fraser and I have a lot of his images - although they are all printable ones rather than digis.  My printer isn't really up to the job anymore so I don't really use them, which is a pity.  I'm glad some of his images are now available as digistamps.  I think he's a brilliant fun artist.  Here's the end result.

I kept it really simple and I'm chuffed to bits with the result.

Please pop over and join in the fun.  Any Guy card would do and it would give you the opportunity to stock up.  You know that you've never made enough cards for the males in your life.

Thanks for reading.
